NHCA Paint Night! – in partnership with Artsy Fartsy Studios
Join us for a brand NEW program – NHCA Paint Night! In partnership with Artsy Fartsy Studio, NHCA is brining four creative and fun paint classes right to our office (located inside Vivo West Entrance). There is something for everyone in the family to take part of and we can’t wait to see all of your amazing works of art!
Members get $5 off per ticket so make sure to login before you register!
Classes:
Ages 8 to 12 – Join us on Thursday July 20th from 6:00-8:30pm for $35.
Mom & Me – Join us on Tuesday July 25th from 6:00-8:30pm for $70 (registration will include 1 adult and 1 child ticket, you will each create your own canvas that will fit together into one big painting).
Ages 18+ – Join us on Thursday July 27th from 6:00-8:30pm for $40.
All supplies included and you will take home your painting at the end of the night!
We are excited to announce that our partner, MPC Foundation, will be delivering art programs for adults and seniors. “Paint & Sketch” program and a “Lifestories Through Scrapbooking” program will provide a safe and regular ‘artistic space’ within which participants will come together and participate in facilitated art sessions.
Paint & Sketch
The “Paint & Sketch” art class is offered to beginners. Participants can create their own painting or drawing through a step-by-step instruction by facilitator. A start-up kit with necessary art supplies will be offered to participants free of charge.
Lifestories Through Scrapbooking
Scrapbook is not just an artwork; it is also storytelling. “Lifestories Through Scrapbooking” allows participants to reflect and capture their unique personal and family experiences in a form of a book or card. Facilitator will teach different skills in scrapbooking and participants will have a wonderful time sharing their stories.

Online Art Therapy Sessions
Join Nathalie, a certified Art Therapy Practitioner, for 8 weeks of free online healing art for adults. During this time of pandemic, your levels of stress and anxiety may have increased. Come and relieve some stress through drawing, painting, sculpting, and playing with your creativity. NO ART SKILLS ARE NEEDED.
No cost for residents of the Northern Hills.

Wallpeople Art Exhibition
Wallpeople is an international collaborative art project that seeks to return art to the streets and reclaim public space as a means of expression and public interaction which promotes the creativity of people. Put down the screen and join us with one(or more) of your Instagram posts!
To join us, recreate or interpret your favourite personal post as an 8″x8″ photo, drawing, painting or other mixed-media image that can easily be taped to a wall. Please do not use another person’s instagram post, we want to see your creativity!! Artists are welcome to trade or sell their art at the event. Date and location TBA!
Together we will create the first analog Instagram feed in Calgary!
Beginners in Acrylic Painting Course
Have you always wanted to try your hand at acrylic painting but didn’t know where to start? Take the opportunity to learn at this beginner’s acrylic painting workshop on Saturday, April 4. Join us from 1 to 4 p.m. in a fun relaxing atmosphere where you will learn how to get started in acrylic painting.
Register for a small fee, then come as you are, all materials and instruction will be supplied! You will go home with your completed landscape painting as well as information on materials, where to find what your need and how to use everything effectively.
