Northern Hills Mural

Contact

We, the Northern Hills Community Association (NHCA) created an amazing project focused on all aspects “of Community, for Community.”

With the help of over 800 volunteers, the mural spans 850 metres. Painted on August 4-6, 2018, the Northern Hills Mural is community inspired and uniquely reflects Calgary’s history. The design invites discussion along the many points of time that have influenced and helped shape Calgary and surrounding areas into what it is today.

This mural project revitalizes the community and provides an opportunity to rediscover the Northern Hills in a different way. It allows us to appreciate the arts, learn about the mural process, inspire young artists and have fun doing it. Over 30 aspiring artists along with local residents and paint professionals help us install the Northern Hills Mural.

Thank you community for your wonderful help and involvement in painting the longest mural in Canada! It couldn’t be possible without your help!
